This recipe has always been a part of my family since I was a little kid. My Grandma cooked this all the time! You should have seen her worked around the kitchen. She was a wizard! I learned a lot from her. This recipe was just one of them. This is probably the reason why I love eating vegetables to this day! This is a must-try, I’m telling you! I have listed all the ingredients and directions so all you have to do is to follow them step by step and you are good to go! Feel free to add more ingredients and tweak this recipe to your liking! Ingredients:
2 lbs white cabbage, core removed and shredded (10 c)
1 ½ tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
1 tbsp garlic, minced
Pinch crushed red pepper flakes
½ tsp fine sea salt or more to taste
Half of a lemon, cut into wedges
Directions:
Place a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.
Add olive oil and allow it to become hot.
Add the cabbage, red pepper flakes, garlic, and salt. Sauté for about 10 minutes until translucent and aromatic. Make sure to stir from time to time.
Add lemon juice on top of the cabbage. Add more seasonings if needed.
Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes:
Slice the cabbage from the core, then slice each cut into two. Shred each finely. Use paper towels to pat dry the shredded cabbage.
