Ingredients:
Olive oil spray for the baking dish
2 tbsp olive oil
2 pounds extra-lean ground beef
1 medium onion finely chopped (6 ounces)
2 tsp Diamond Crystal kosher salt or 1 tsp fine salt
¼ tsp black pepper
1 tbsp minced fresh garlic
¼ c avocado oil mayonnaise
¼ c unsweetened ketchup
1 tbsp mustard
1 ½ c shredded sharp cheddar divided (6 ounces)
Directions:
Step 1: Prepare the oven and preheat to 200 degrees C or 400 degrees F.
Step 2: Apply cooking spray in a 2-quart baking dish.
Step 3: Place a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.
Step 4: Add olive oil and allow it to become hot.
Step 5: Add the beef and onions. Cook for about 5 minutes or until brown and translucent.
Step 6: Discard any liquid from the mixture.
Step 7: Add the garlic, salt, and pepper. Stir until well combined.
Step 8: Remove the skillet from the heat, then add mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup, and 1 cup of cheddar cheese. Stir until well combined.
Step 9: Move the mixture into the greased baking dish and spread it evenly.
Step 10: Sprinkle a generous amount of cheese on top.
Step 11: Place it inside the preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes or until the cheese has melted completely.
