They always tell me to bake these. I can’t blame them because these really are awesome! I usually serve these cookies for breakfast or snack. Oh, man, you have got to bite your teeth onto these luscious cookies! Satisfy your sweet tooth the best way! By the way, these are best served hot so make sure to serve it right away. Ingredients:
1 cup shortening
½ cup white sugar
¾ cup brown sugar, firmly packed
2 Eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
¾ cup mashed banana (about two medium)
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 ½ teaspoon cinnamon
2 cups flour
2 cups oatmeal (i use quick oatmeal)
6 ounces or ½ bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions:
Step 1: Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
Step 2: Apply cooking spray in 3 or 4 cookie sheets.
Step 3: In a medium mixing bowl, add the eggs, shortening, sugars, banana, and vanilla. Whisk until well mixed and creamy.
Step 4: Add in the dry ingredients and chocolate chips. Stir until well combined.
Step 5: Spoon the mixture and arrange them into the prepared cookie sheets.
Step 6: Place them inside the preheated oven and bake for 10 to 14 minutes or until golden brown.
Step 7: Remove from the oven and let it sit at room temperature to cool for at least 5 minutes.
Step 8: Serve and enjoy!
