Ingredients
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 yellow onion, chopped
1 ½ pounds of ground beef
30 ounces tomato sauce
30 ounces of diced tomatoes, undrained
3 c. water or beef broth
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
16 ounces elbow macaroni
¼ c. cheddar cheese, shredded, for topping
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
2 teaspoons seasoned salt
How to make Instant Pot Goulash
Step 1: To saute, set the Instant Pot. Then, add the ground beef along with garlic and onion. Cook until the meat is browned. If needed, drain the excess grease.
Step 2: To the pot, add the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, water, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, seasoned salt, and elbow macaroni. Stir well.
Step 3: Put the lid on and cook for 4 minutes on high pressure.
Step 4: Do a quick release of pressure once the timer is up. Remove the cover once the float valve drops.
Step 5: Ladle the Goulash into serving bowls and garnish with shredded cheese (optional). Serve right away. Enjoy!
Notes:
For extra flavor, add 2 bay leaves to the pot before cooking.
For added texture and flavor, add chopped bell pepper to the onion mixture. You can use either red, yellow, orange, or green peppers.
