These heavenly treats are the best thing ever! This recipe was recommended to me by my good friend, Abigaile. I am so glad that she did because now, I get to share it with you as well! As perfect as this recipe already is, feel free to add more ingredients if you prefer. I am sure that you can do a lot to make this recipe even better! Have a wonderful day, friends. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
½ c white sugar
2 tbsp butter, melted
3 tbsp white sugar
2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
2 (8 ounces) packages of refrigerated crescent roll dough (such as Pillsbury® Recipe Creations®), divided
2 lemons, zested and juiced, divided
Directions:
Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
Line with foil a 9×13-inch baking dish, then apply cooking spray on it.
Add a can of crescent roll dough to the bottom of the prepared baking dish, then press it and make sure to stretch out the sides.
In a mixing bowl, squeeze in 2 lemons and add 1 ½ lemon zest. Stir until well blended.
Add ½ cup of sugar and cream cheese. Beat until well combined and smooth.
Pour the mixture on top of the dough and spread it evenly.
Put the second dough over, then unroll it and stretch out the sides as well. Brush melted butter on top.
In a mixing bowl, add the rest of the lemon zest and 3 tbsp of sugar. Stir until well mixed.
Sprinkle the mixture on top of the butter.
Place it inside the preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes or until the top turns golden brown.
Remove from the oven and let it cool completely at room temperature.
Remove from the baking dish, then place it inside the fridge to chill for about an hour.
Serve and enjoy!
