A big thanks to my sister, Cathy, for this amazing recipe. See, I am not a very good cook so I look for simple recipes that I can try at home. Yesterday, my sister sent me a recipe through messenger. I am so glad that I tried it because I love it so much now! Breakfast will be awesome again with these delicious French Toasts! Have a blessed day, friends, and don’t forget to put a smile on your face today. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
8 slices thickly sliced bread brioche, Texas toast, or challah bread
2 large Eggs
⅔ c milk
1 tsp granulated sugar optional
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp ground cinnamon
Pinch salt
Directions:
Step 1: Prepare a griddle or skillet and preheat to 350 degrees F.
Step 2: In a medium mixing bowl, add the milk, eggs, cinnamon, vanilla, salt, and sugar. Whisk until well mixed.
Step 3: In a shallow baking dish, add the egg mixture.
Step 4: Soak each side of the bread slice into the baking dish with the egg mixture for about 30 seconds.
Step 5: Brush butter onto the preheated skillet or griddle.
Step 6: Lay each bread slice onto the preheated skillet or griddle. Cook for about 3 to 4 minutes or until golden brown. Make sure to reduce the heat if needed to prevent them from burning.
Step 7: Place the French toasts on a clean serving plate.
Step 8: Serve immediately with your preferred toppings. Enjoy!
