The sauce alone of this dish is more than enough for me! Let alone the chicken breasts. Oh, man, you are so in for a treat. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
500g / 1 pound chicken breast, boneless and skinless (2 pieces)
Salt and pepper
¼ cup (60g) flour
3.5 tablespoons (50g) unsalted butter (or 2 ½ tablespoons olive oil)
2 garlic cloves, minced
1.5 tablespoon apple cider vinegar (or white or other clear vinegar)
1 tablespoon soy sauce, light or all-purpose (Note 2)
⅓ c (90g) honey (or maple syrup)
Directions:
Step 1: Horizontally slice the chicken breasts into two.
Step 2: Season each side with salt and pepper to taste.
Step 3: In a shallow dish, add in the flour.
Step 4: Toss the chicken into the bowl and coat each generously with the flour.
Step 5: Place a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat to high.
Step 6: Add in the butter and allow it to melt.
Step 7: Add in the chicken and cook for 3 minutes or until golden.
Step 8: Flip the chicken and cook the other side for 1 minute.
Step 9: Reduce the heat to medium-high and push the chicken to the side.
Step 10: Add in a dab of butter and allow it to melt.
Step 11: Add in the garlic and sauté until aromatic.
Step 12: Add in soy sauce, vinegar, and honey. Stir until well combined.
Step 13: Allow the mixture to simmer for at least 1 minute or until the sauce is thick. Make sure to add water if the sauce is too thick.
Step 14: Remove from the heat and spoon on a serving plate.
Step 15: Drizzle the sauce over the chicken.
Step 16: Serve and enjoy!
