How to make Homestyle Caramel Bread Pudding
Step 1: Heat the milk in a saucepan over medium heat. Once the milk is hot, add the butter and stir endlessly until the butter has melted, then set aside.
Step 2: Place the sugar, eggs, cinnamon, and vanilla in another container. Mix well until combined before adding in the milk mixture, then set aside.
Step 3: In a casserole dish, place the torn pieces of bread, pour the batter over, and sprinkle with raisins. Place in a 350 degrees F preheated oven and bake for about 45 to 50 minutes until the pudding is set.
TO MAKE THE SAUCE SAUCE:
Step 4: In a small saucepan, mix the sauce ingredients (whole milk, softened butter, sugar, vanilla extract, flour, and salt). bring the mixture to a boil while continuously whisking. When done, remove from the heat and set the sauce aside for a couple of minutes before pouring over the warm bread pudding.
