I know that you probably have a pudding recipe, but I assure you that this is the best! The rich flavours in this bread pudding are just too perfect! Well, you just have to try this one and taste it yourself! A big thanks to my sister, Kim, for this awesome recipe. Have a beautiful day, friends. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
BREAD PUDDING
2 cups whole milk
¼ cup butter, softened
⅓ cup sugar
3 Eggs
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
3 cups bread, torn into pieces (any bread, although french bread or raisin bread is great)
¼ cup raisins
SAUCE
1 cup whole milk
2 tablespoons butter, softened
⅓ cup sugar
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 tablespoon flour
dash(es) salt
Directions:
Place a saucepan on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
Add the milk and allow it to become hot.
Add butter and stir until melted and well blended. Remove from the heat.
In a mixing bowl, add eggs, sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon. Whisk until well mixed.
Pour in the milk mixture and stir until well mixed.
Break up the bread, then place them into a casserole dish.
Pour the batter over the bread and spread it evenly.
Sprinkle raisins over the batter.
Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
Place the batter inside the preheated oven and bake for about 50 minutes or until done.
Remove from the oven and allow it to rest at room temperature for few minutes while you prepare the sauce.
To Make the Sauce:
Place a saucepan on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
Add all the ingredients for the sauce and stir until well mixed. Allow the mixture to boil.
Remove from the heat and allow it to cool for a few minutes.
Pour the sauce over the bread and spread it evenly.
Serve and enjoy!
