These heavenly pretzels are perfect to serve with Nutella! Oh, man, my kids could not get enough of these delicious little treats! I am sure that your kids are going to love it as well!
Ingredients:
3.5 c all-purpose flour
1.5 c warm water
1 packet dry active yeast
2 Tablespoons sugar
⅓ c baking soda
salt
Directions:
Step 1: In a medium mixing bowl with warm water, add the yeast and allow it to rest for about 5 minutes.
Step 2: Add sugar and stir until well mixed.
Step 3: In a large mixing bowl, add the flour and create a small hole in the middle, then pour the yeast mixture into it.
Step 4: Mix with your hands or with a rubber spatula until well combined.
Step 5: Knead the dough until it becomes a ball shape.
Step 6: Sprinkle flour on a flat surface and place the dough on it.
Step 7: Cut the dough into 6 even pieces and roll into 1-inch ropes.
Step 8: Slice each rope into 1-inch small cuts.
Step 9: Place a pot with water on the stove and turn the heat to high.
Step 10: When the water is boiling, reduce the heat and add the baking soda.
Step 11: Add the pretzel bites and cook for about 30 seconds. Make sure to flip after 15 seconds.
Step 12: Remove from the pot and place the pretzels on a clean plate lined with paper towels, then sprinkle a generous amount of salt on top.
Step 13: Apply an air fryer rack with cooking oil.
Step 14: Place the pretzels into the prepared air fryer, then put them inside the oven. Bake for 5 minutes at 390 degrees F.
Step 15: Remove from the oven and allow the pretzels to rest for at least 5 minutes.
Step 16: Serve and enjoy!
Notes:
The dough can last up to 3 days inside the fridge.
