Ingredients:
The Steaks:
1 lb ground beef
1 tsp soy sauce
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
½ tsp pepper
¼ tsp salt
⅓ c bread crumbs
1 Egg
4 tbsp butter divided
The Sauce:
8 oz mushrooms sliced
1 c sweet onion thinly sliced
1 tsp garlic minced
3 tbsp flour
2 c beef broth
1 ½ tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
Chopped parsley for garnish
Directions:
Step 1: Add the ground beef, garlic powder, soy sauce, bread crumbs, egg, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl. Stir until well combined.
Step 2: Make four even patties out of the mixture.
Step 3: Place a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.
Step 4: Add the patties and cook each side for 4 minutes or until brown.
Step 5: Remove the patties from the skillet and place them on a clean plate.
Step 6: In the same skillet, add 2 tablespoons of butter and allow it to melt over a reduced heat.
Step 7: Add the onions and mushrooms. Sauté for about 5 minutes or until brown and translucent.
Step 8: Add the garlic and sauté for 1 minute or until aromatic.
Step 9: Sprinkle flour and cook for 1 more minute or until brown.
Step 10: Add the Worcestershire sauce, beef broth, salt, and pepper. Cook for 5 minutes. Make sure to stir from time to time.
Step 11: Put the hamburgers back to the skillet and toss until well coated with the gravy.
Step 12: Reduce the heat and cover the skillet with a lid. Simmer everything for 10 more minutes.
Step 13: Uncover cook for 10 more minutes or until the sauce becomes thick.
Step 14: Remove from the heat and sprinkle freshly chopped parsley on top.
Step 15: Serve and enjoy!
