Ingredients:
3 c wide egg noodles
1 lb ground turkey
1 onion, chopped
1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
1 tsp Italian seasoning
½ c milk
4 oz cream cheese
1 tbsp minced fresh parsley
1 clove garlic, minced
1 ¼ c shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
Directions:
Step 1: Prepare the oven and preheat to 190 degrees C or 375 degrees F.
Step 2: Apply cooking spray in an 8-inch square baking dish.
Step 3: Place a large pot on the stove with salted water.
Step 4: Turn the heat to high and allow the water to boil.
Step 5: Add the egg noodles and cook for about 5 minutes or until al dente.
Step 6: Drain the noodles and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process.
Step 7: Place a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.
Step 8: Add the turkey and onion. Stir and cook for 10 minutes or until crumbly and brown. Discard any excess grease.
Step 9: Add the Italian seasoning and tomato sauce, then allow the mixture to boil.
Step 10: Turn the heat down to low. Cover the skillet with a lid and simmer the mixture for about 10 minutes.
Step 11: Place a saucepan on the stove and add the cream cheese, milk, garlic, and parsley. Turn the heat to medium and cook for 5 minutes or until the cheese has melted completely.
Step 12: Add the cooked noodles into the cream cheese mixture and toss until well combined.\
Step 13: Remove from the heat and transfer the coated noodles into the greased baking dish.
Step 14: Spread the turkey mixture over the pasta and sprinkle a generous amount of cheese on top.
Step 15: Place it inside the preheated oven and bake for 15 to 30 minutes or until the cheese has melted completely.
Step 16: Remove from the oven.
