You will surely love the tropical feel of this amazing cake! Last week, my friend visited me and she brought this cake that she just baked. Oh, man, I was sold by the first bite! It was so good that I asked her for the recipe. Laura, if you are reading this, thank you so much for this! Feel free to add more ingredients to this recipe if you feel like it, friends! As to me, I would not add or remove an ingredient to this recipe because it already is perfect for me. Anyway, you all have a great day. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
1 cup butter
5 Eggs
2 ¾ cake flour
1 cup buttermilk
½ teaspoon coconut flavouring
2 cups of sugar
dash salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla flavouring
Directions:
Step 1: In a medium mixing bowl, add the butter and sugar. Stir until well mixed and smooth.
Step 2: Add one egg at a time and beat every addition.
Step 3: In another mixing bowl, add flour, buttermilk, coconut flavouring, sugar, baking powder, vanilla flavouring, and salt. Sift until well mixed.
Step 4: Transfer the egg mixture into the dry ingredients. Stir until well blended.
Step 5: Apply cooking spray and sprinkle flour in three or four 9-inch round cake pans.
Step 6: Transfer the batter into the prepared cake pans.
Step 7: Place the pans inside the oven and bake for 25 minutes at 350 degrees F or until a toothpick comes out clean after inserting it in the middle of a cake.
Step 8: Remove from the oven and let them cool on a wire rack.
Step 9: Spread Granny’s frosting over the cakes.
Step 10: Serve and enjoy!
