These pork chops smothered in a delicious gravy are what you just might need today! Oh, man, you are so in for a treat! Serve these bad boys over rice or mashed potatoes, and you have yourself a meal to remember. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
1 tbsp butter
2 tbsp cornstarch
2 tbsp water
1 (10.5 ounces) can of beef broth
1 clove garlic, pressed
6 pork chops
1 (8 ounces) can of mushrooms, drained
1 c dry sherry
salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
Place a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
Add butter and allow it to melt.
Add the garlic and sauté until aromatic.
Season with salt and pepper the pork chops.
Add the pork chops into the hot skillet and fry each side for 3 minutes or until they turn brown.
Remove the pork chops from the skillet into a baking pan.
In the same skillet, add the mushrooms and sauté for a few minutes.
Add the broth and scrape the bottom of the skillet to get the brown bits. Allow it to boil.
Pour the mixture on top of the pork chops, then cover the pan with foil.
Place it inside the preheated oven and bake for about 45 minutes.
Remove the foil cover and bake for 15 more minutes.
Transfer the pork chops onto a clean serving plate.
Put the baking dish on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
Add the cornstarch and water mixture, then allow it to boil and become thick. Make sure to scrape the bottom to get the brown bits. Add more seasonings if needed.
Pour the sauce on top of the pork chops.
Serve and enjoy!
