Ingredients:
1 c butter
1 ¾ c white sugar
2 Eggs
3 c all-purpose flour
½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp ground nutmeg
1 tsp vanilla extract
Directions:
Step 1: Add the butter and sugar into a medium mixing bowl. Beat until well blended.
Step 2: Add eggs gradually and beat every addition.
Step 3: Add the vanilla and stir until well mixed.
Step 4: In another mixing bowl, add the flour, nutmeg, baking soda, and salt. Whisk until well mixed, then transfer it into the creamed mixture. Beat until well combined.
Step 5: Knead the dough. Cover and place it inside the fridge.
Step 6: Prepare the oven and preheat to 160 degrees C or 325 degrees F.
Step 7: Place the dough onto a floured surface and slice it into ¼-inch-thick cuts.
Step 8: Arrange the cookie dough onto cookie sheets. Make sure to leave a 1 ½-inch space between each cookie dough.
Step 9: Place the baking sheets inside the preheated oven and bake for 10 minutes or until done.
Step 10: Remove from the oven and allow the cookies to cool at room temperature.
