The recipe I’m about to share is smooth, tasty, sweet, and the liquid version of an apple pie that’ll knock you clean on your toes if you don’t exercise a little restraint. Having a drink during the holidays and on special occasions is becoming a tradition of sorts for us. It also allows a special gift, whatever the reason, for friends, family, and neighbors. There’s just something about the fruity notes I’ve come to enjoy from that. It’s so fascinating how leaves can contain so many different flavors depending on which form they are.
If you’ve never had Grandma’s Apple Pie ‘A la Mode’ Moonshine, I have to warn you it’s just as dangerous as delicious. This moonshine is made of 190 proof grain (Everclear) alcohol, so it packs a punch. Although it tastes good too, it is best in moderation and should be served only by the shot. Please make the most of it responsibly. This moonshine is a tasty treat in small amounts, and as I said, it makes a great gift, no matter how you make it up. Try this Apple Pie ‘A la Mode’ “Moonshine”, and enjoy it with your family and friends.

Ingredients:
½ gallon apple cider
½ gallon apple juice
(4) cinnamon sticks
(1) whole clove
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
(3) cups 190 proof grain alcohol, just like Everclear
2 cups vanilla vodka
Directions:
Add apple cider, apple juice, cinnamon sticks, whole clove, white sugar, and brown sugar in a large pot, let it boil, reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 20 minutes. Take out from the heat, and allow it cool completely.
Stir grain alcohol and vanilla vodka into the cooled mixture. Pour into bottles and refrigerate.
Note:
The Moonshine Apple Pie can be instantly enjoyed. However, store it sealed in the fridge for 3-4 weeks before drinking for the best taste. Shake well before serving
