These are excellent no matter what and you can even pack these in cute boxes to give us gifts. Soft, buttery, gooey cookies that are so irresistible. I sometimes call these the festive cookies because of their simple sprinkles. A fun and a fool-proof cookie recipe that would be perfect for the holidays or any day!
Ingredients:
1 box Duncan Hines butter recipe cake mix (can substitute yellow or French vanilla)
1 stick butter
¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
1 package cream cheese, room temp (8 ounces)
1 Egg
powdered sugar (for rolling dough into)
Directions:
Step 1: In a mixing bowl, add the cake mix, butter, vanilla extract, cream cheese, egg, and powdered sugar. Mix with an electric mixer until incorporated.
Step 2: Place in the fridge to chill for at least 2 hours.
Step 3: Form the dough into about a walnut-size balls.
Step 4: Roll the balls in powdered sugar to coat.
Step 5: Place the coated dough balls on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Step 6: Place inside the oven and bake for about 10 to 12 minutes at 350 degrees.
Step 7: Once done, remove from the oven and allow to cool.
Step 8: Dust the completely cooled cookies with powdered sugar.
