Ingredients:
2 Bone-in thick pork chops, about 1 inch thick
3 tbsp garlic minced
2 tbsp vegetable oil
4 tbsp butter
½ tsp red pepper flakes
3 tbsp brown sugar
salt and pepper
fresh parsley chopped
Directions:
Step 1: Prepare the oven and preheat to 200 degrees C or 400 degrees F.
Step 2: Season with salt and pepper the pork chops.
Step 3: Place an oven-safe skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.
Step 4: Add oil and allow it to become hot.
Step 5: Add pork chops and sear each side for about 3 minutes or until brown. Remove from the skillet and place them on a clean plate, then set aside.
Step 6: Add the butter to the same skillet and allow it to melt. Make sure to reduce the heat to low as well.
Step 7: Add the garlic, red pepper, and sugar. Stir until well mixed.
Step 8: Simmer the mixture for about 2 to 3 minutes.
Step 9: Put the pork chops back to the skillet and toss until well coated with the sauce, then cover the skillet.
Step 10: Remove the skillet from the heat and place it inside the preheated oven. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until an instant-read thermometer inserted in the pork chops reads 145 degrees F.
Step 11: Remove from the oven and allow the pork chops to sit at room temperature to cool for at least 5 minutes.
Step 12: Sprinkle freshly chopped parsley on top.
Step 13: Serve and enjoy!
