Ingredients:
2 tsp sesame oil
¼ tsp ground ginger
3 garlic cloves minced
8 oz. wide rice noodles
½ c reduced-sodium soy sauce
3 c broccoli florets
¼ c packed brown sugar
1 tbsp cornstarch
8 oz. mushrooms sliced
2 tbsp hoisin sauce
8 oz. flank steak sliced against the grain
¼ tsp crushed red pepper flakes
¼ tsp pepper
1 tbsp olive oil
Directions:
Place a large pot with water on the stove and turn the heat to high. Allow the water to boil.
Add the noodles into the boiling water, then cook for a few minutes until almost al dente.
Add the broccoli, then cook until tender and the noodles are firm to bite. Drain and set them aside.
Place a skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.
Add olive oil and allow it to become hot.
Add the steak into the hot skillet, then cook for a few minutes until brown.
Add mushrooms and garlic, then sauté for 1 minute or until soft and aromatic.
In a mixing bowl, add hoisin sauce, soy sauce, cornstarch, red pepper, ginger, sesame oil, and pepper. Stir until well blended.
Put the noodles and broccoli into the skillet with the steak, then pour over the sauce. Toss everything until well combined.
