I finally found the perfect recipe for biscuits! A big thanks to my dear friend for teaching me this amazing recipe. These heavenly treats are best served warm with a cup of coffee. Oh, man, you need this in your life! Aside from the delicious taste, they are also very easy to make. One of these days, I will surely top each of these biscuits with melted cheese. I am 100 per cent certain that they would taste divine! Give it a try too and thank me later. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
2 cups flour
4 teaspoon baking powder
3 teaspoon sugar
½ teaspoon salt
½ cup butter flavour shortening (you can use regularly also)
⅔ cup milk
1 Egg
Directions:
Step 1: Prepare the oven and preheat to 450 degrees F.
Step 2: In a medium mixing bowl, add the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk until well mixed.
Step 3: Add in the shortening and stir until it turns into crumbs.
Step 4: In a separate mixing bowl, add the milk and egg. Whisk until well mixed.
Step 5: Transfer the egg-milk mixture into the dry ingredients. Stir until well mixed and moist.
Step 6: Sprinkle flour on a flat surface and place the dough.
Step 7: Knead the dough for 20 minutes and roll it into ¾-inch thick, then use a biscuit cutter to slice it into 2 ½ –inch pieces.
Step 8: Apply baking spray in a baking sheet.
Step 9: Arrange the biscuits on the prepared baking sheet.
Step 10: Place it inside the preheated oven and bake for 10 minutes or until the biscuits turn golden brown.
Step 11: Remove from the oven and allow it to cool for at least 5 minutes.
Step 12: Serve and enjoy!
