Ingredients:
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
3-4 cloves garlic, minced
2 teaspoons fresh ginger, minced
¾ c light brown sugar, packed
1 c shredded carrots
1 ½ pound thinly sliced flank steak (¼-inch thick)
4-6 green onions, thinly sliced
¾ c water
1 – 2 teaspoons Sriracha sauce (can substitute with red pepper flakes or cayenne instead – in whatever amount you prefer)
¾ c reduced-sodium soy sauce
¼ c cornstarch
sesame seeds, for garnish
Directions:
Add the steak and cornstarch inside a resealable bag. Shake the bag until the steak is well coated with the cornstarch.
Add the vegetable oil, water, soy sauce, garlic, Sriracha, and brown sugar into a slow cooker. Stir until well blended.
Add the steak and carrots into the slow cooker, then toss everything until well coated by the sauce.
Cover the slow cooker, then cook everything for about 2 hours on a high setting or 4 hours on a low setting until the pork is fork-tender.
Serve over rice and spoon the delicious sauce on top. Enjoy!
Note:
Sprinkle sesame seeds and green onions on top to garnish.
