Roasted Garlic Spinach White Pizza, the name of this recipe speaks for itself! Just imagine the taste of roasted garlic combined with cheese and spinach! Isn’t it just perfect? Well, you just have to follow these easy steps and you are good to go!
Ingredients:
2 whole-wheat pizza dough
Pepper flakes, optional
20 ounces Cascadian Farm frozen spinach, thawed and liquid squeezed
16-22 ounces ricotta cheese
4-5 heads of garlic
32 ounces part-skim mozzarella cheese
4 teaspoons olive oil
Directions:
Prepare the oven and preheat to 200 degrees C or 400 degrees F.
Remove the tip of the whole garlic, then slice about ¼ inch on top to see the flesh of each garlic clove.
Drizzle olive oil over the garlic, then covers them with foil.
Place the garlic inside the preheated oven and roast for about 30 to 40 minutes or until done.
Remove the garlic from the oven and allow them to cool at room temperature.
Gently press the bottom of each garlic clove to remove them from the coating.
Add the garlic into a mixing bowl, then the back of a spoon to mash them.
Add the ricotta cheese into the bowl with the mashed garlic, then stir until well blended.
Sprinkle whole wheat flour onto a flat surface.
Place the pizza dough onto the floured surface, then use a rolling pin to roll it out.
Transfer the pizza dough onto a pizza stone. Repeat the process with the other pizza dough.
Add ½ of the ricotta cheese mixture on top of the pizza dough.
Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the cheese mixture, followed by spinach.
Place the pizzas inside the preheated oven and bake them for about 18 to 20 minutes or until done.
Remove the pizzas from the oven.
Garnish with red pepper flakes if you like.
