Ingredients:
1 tbsp olive oil
3-3 ½ c fresh or frozen shrimp, thawed completely and rinsed (use shrimp with shells and tails on, or shrimp with the shells and tails removed)
1 tsp sesame oil
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp cornstarch
2 tbsp water
½ c honey
3 cloves garlic, pressed or finely minced
toasted sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
1 tbsp rice vinegar
Directions:
Add garlic, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, cornstarch, water, and soy sauce into a mixing bowl. Whisk until well blended.
Place a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.
Add olive oil and allow it to become hot.
Add the shrimp into the hot skillet, then cook for 3 minutes per side.
Pour in the honey garlic sauce, then toss until well the shrimp are well coated. Simmer everything for a few minutes or until the texture becomes thick. Remove from the heat.
Serve right away over rice with steamed veggies on the side. Enjoy!
Notes:
Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds over each serving to garnish.
