In less than 30 minutes, this incredible dish is ready to satisfy your cravings! This Honey-Garlic Chicken Stir-Fry is super easy to make. Serve it over rice, and you have yourself a meal to remember. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp sesame oil
¼ c water
2 tsp cornstarch
¼ c low sodium soy sauce
¼ c honey
1-lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces
salt and pepper to taste
2 c broccoli
2 tbsp oil, divided
sesame seeds for garnish if desired
Directions:
Place a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
Add 1 tbsp of oil and allow it to become hot.
Add the broccoli into the hot skillet, then cook for about 5 minutes or until soft. Transfer onto a clean plate.
In the same empty skillet, add another tbsp of oil and allow it to become hot.
Add ½ of the chicken breasts, then cook for a few minutes or until all sides turn brown. Transfer onto a clean plate. Repeat the process with the rest of the chicken breasts.
Add garlic and sauté for a minute or until aromatic.
In a mixing bowl, add sesame oil, soy sauce, honey, and water. Stir until well blended.
Pour the mixture into the skillet together with the chicken and broccoli. Stir until well mixed.
Add slurry (water and cornstarch mixture), then stir again until well blended. Simmer for a few minutes until the texture of the sauce becomes thick. Sprinkle salt and pepper to taste.
Sprinkle sesame seeds over each serving to garnish.
Serve right away. Enjoy!
Notes:
Feel free to exchange cube steak, shrimp, or tofu instead of chicken.
You can add cayenne pepper, chili oil, sriracha, or red pepper flakes for a spicy version.
