Ingredients:
2 tbsp AP flour
2 tbsp heavy cream
2 tbsp butter – or fat from cooking your meat
1 ½ c milk
additional salt and pepper to taste
1 tsp black pepper
½ tsp salt
Directions:
Place a saucepan on the stove and turn the heat to low.
Add butter and allow it to melt.
Add the flour, then whisk and cook for about 3 minutes or until it turns golden brown.
Add about ¼ cup of milk, then whisk until well blended.
Add the rest of the milk and whisk until well blended.
Sprinkle salt and pepper to taste.
Reduce the heat to low, then simmer for about 3 minutes or until the texture of the sauce becomes thick.
Add the heavy cream, then stir until well blended.
Add more salt and pepper if needed.
Serve and enjoy!
Notes:
You can add more seasonings if needed. It depends on the butter that you are using.
Add more milk if you want thin gravy.
