This heartwarming dish has been a part of my life since I was little. I tweaked this recipe over the years, so you can expect perfection! If you have time to spare before any meal, then this recipe is for you to try! It may take you a couple of hours to prepare, but I promise you that it is worth the wait! You can either cook this in a crockpot or on the stove. Either way, it works perfectly fine! Surprise everyone with this spectacular Easy Crockpot Chili. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
2 cups water
2 tablespoons Chili powder
1 medium onion, chopped
30 ounces can of tomato sauce
3 pounds of hamburger, browned
2 teaspoons oregano
2 14.5 ounces cans of petite diced tomatoes
1 ½ teaspoons garlic salt
4 teaspoons cumin
15.5 ounces can of Chili beans
Directions:
Add everything into the crockpot. Stir until well blended.
Cover and seal the crockpot, then cook the chili for about 8 to 10 hours on a low setting or until done.
Top each serving with cheese and sour cream.
Serve right away. Enjoy!
Notes:
You can cook this on the stove. Just follow these easy steps:
Add onion, tomato sauce, browned hamburger, water, tomatoes, and chili beans into a large pot. Stir until well blended.
Place the pot on the stove and turn the heat to medium-low, then simmer the mixture for about an hour. Make sure to stir from time to time.
Add oregano, chili powder, cumin, and garlic salt. Stir until well blended.
Simmer the chili for about 2 hours.
Top each serving with cheese and sour cream.
Serve right away. Enjoy!
Place any leftovers in an airtight container, then put them in the fridge. Reheat for a few minutes before serving again.
