Ingredients:
2 c all-purpose flour
1 tbsp pure vanilla extract
1 stick (½ c) unsalted butter
1 tsp ground cinnamon
½ tsp kosher salt
1 (29 oz) can of sliced peaches in juice
1 ½ c granulated sugar (divided)
1 c whole milk
1 ½ tsp baking powder
¼ tsp ground nutmeg
Directions:
Apply cooking spray to a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
Add the butter to a heat-proof bowl, then place it inside the microwave and heat for about a minute until melted completely.
Remove the bowl from the microwave, then add salt, baking powder, 1 cup of sugar, and flour. Whisk everything until well mixed.
Add the vanilla and milk, then stir until well blended.
Transfer the batter to the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly into the bottom.
Lay the peaches on top and sides of the batter.
In a mixing bowl, add nutmeg, cinnamon, ½ cup sugar, and the juice from the peaches. Stir until well blended.
Add the mixture over the peaches and spread it evenly.
Place it in the preheated oven and bake for 1 hour or until the top turns golden brown.
Remove from the oven and allow it to sit for a few minutes at room temperature to cool.
Add a scoop of ice cream over each serving.
Serve and enjoy!
