Ingredients:
1 stick (½ c) unsalted butter
1 ½ c granulated sugar (divided)
2 c all-purpose flour
1 ½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp kosher salt
1 c whole milk
1 tbsp pure vanilla extract
1 (29-oz) can sliced peaches in juice
1 tsp ground cinnamon
¼ tsp ground nutmeg
Directions:
Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
Brush butter in a 9×13-inch baking dish.
In a heat-proof bowl, add the butter.
Place it inside the microwave and heat for a minute or until melted completely.
Remove from the microwave, then add flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder. Whisk until well blended.
Transfer the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
Put the peaches all over the batter.
In a mixing bowl, add the juice from the peaches, ½ cup sugar, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Whisk until well mixed.
Pour the mixture on top of the peaches and spread it evenly.
Place it inside the preheated oven and bake for about 1 hour or until the top turns golden brown.
Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes at room temperature.
Serve with ice cream on top. Enjoy!
