Ingredients:
18 ounces of marinara sauce
⅓ c half and half
18 ounces water
1 pound pork sausage
⅓ c mozzarella cheese
2 bell peppers, diced
8 ounces elbow macaroni, dry
Directions:
Place a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.
Add the sausage into the hot skillet, then cook for a few minutes until crumbly and brown. Remove any accumulated fat.
Add bell peppers, water, dried elbow macaroni, and marinara sauce over the sausage. Stir everything until well incorporated.
Turn the heat down to low, then simmer the mixture for about 20 minutes or until the macaroni is firm to bite. Stir often during this time.
Add cheese and half & half, then stir until well blended.
Remove the skillet from the heat and allow it to sit for about 2 minutes at room temperature to melt the cheese completely.
Serve and enjoy!
Notes:
For the half & half, combine ½ cup of heavy cream and ½ cup of milk.
All you need for this recipe is one skillet.
Place any leftovers in an airtight container, then place them inside the fridge. They can last up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven before serving again.
