These bad boys made my day! I saw this on the internet and I was hesitant at first to try it because I thought it would not be great, but clearly, I was wrong! I will put this on my top 10 list of best cookie recipes! Feel free to experiment with the recipe a little. Tweak it and give it your take. If you want to add more ingredients as well, you are more than welcome to do so! Enjoy!
Ingredients:
½ cup packed light brown sugar
1 cup all-purpose flour
¼ teaspoon baking soda
⅛ teaspoon salt
1 cup rolled oats
½ cup butter softened
¾ cup seedless raspberry jam
Directions:
Step 1: Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
Step 2: Apply cooking spray and line with foil an 8-inch square pan.
Step 3: In a medium mixing bowl, add the flour, baking soda, rolled oats, salt, brown sugar, and butter. Use your hands to mix all the ingredients until crumbly.
Step 4: Add 2 cups of the mixture into the prepared pan and press on the bottom.
Step 5: Spread the Jam on the sides of the pressed mixture about ¼-inch high.
Step 6: Place the baking pan inside the preheated oven and bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until the colour turns brown.
Step 7: Remove from the oven and let it sit on a wire rack to cool at room temperature.
Step 8: Slice into bars.
