This Quiche is simply amazing! Just follow these easy steps, and you are good to go! Enjoy this delicious treat with your loved ones!
Ingredients:
4 large Eggs
½ c whole milk
1 c shredded or crumbled cheese such as feta, cheddar, goat cheese, or gruyere up to 2 c add-ins
optional toppings for serving: extra cheese, chopped herbs, hollandaise sauce, & freshly ground pepper to taste
¼ tsp each salt and pepper
1 unbaked Flaky Pie Crust (what I used) or All-Butter Pie Crust
½ c heavy cream or heavy whipping cream
Directions:
Prepare the crust, then place it inside the fridge for at least 2 hours or overnight to chill.
Sprinkle flour onto a flat surface, then place one disk of dough on it. Roll and turn a few times until you get a 12-inch circle.
Place the prepared dough into a 9-inch pie dish and press the sides.
Fold the excess dough and mold it around the dish.
Wrap the dough with plastic, then place it inside the fridge to chill for at least 30 minutes to 5 days.
Prepare the oven and preheat to 190 degrees C or 375 degrees F.
Line the crust with parchment paper, then pour in the dried beans and spread it evenly.
Place the crust inside the preheated oven and bake for about 15 minutes.
Remove the parchment paper as well as the dried beans, then use a fork to poke small holes over the dough.
Put it back inside the oven and bake for 8 more minutes.
Remove the crust from the oven, then place it inside the fridge until ready for serving.
Turn the temperature of the oven down to about 350 degrees F.
Add eggs, heavy cream, whole milk, salt, and pepper to the bowl of a stand mixer. Beat until well incorporated.
Pour the egg mixture over the crust and spread it evenly.
Place it inside the oven and bake for 55 minutes or until done.
Serve with your favorite toppings. Enjoy!
Note:
Leftovers can last up to 4 days in the fridge.
