This is the perfect way to cook lasagna, I’m telling you! This Crockpot Lasagna is cooked to perfection for more than an hour! Noodles, meat, spaghetti sauce, and a lot of cheese! Ingredients:
24 ounces of cottage cheese, ricotta cheese could be substituted
2 cups mozzarella cheese, grated
16 ounces lasagna noodles
24 ounces spaghetti sauce
1 pound of ground beef, or ground turkey can be substituted
Directions:
Place a skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
Add the ground meat, then cook for a few minutes until crumbly and brown.
Pour in the sauce, then stir until well blended. Simmer for a few minutes.
Apply cooking spray to a slow cooker.
Add a bit of the meat sauce to the bottom of the prepared slow cooker and spread it evenly.
Add one layer of uncooked lasagna noodles over the meat sauce.
Sprinkle ⅓ of the cottage cheese on top of the lasagna noodles.
Repeat the process until everything is arranged in layers ending with cheese.
Cover and seal the slow cooker, then cook everything for about 4 hours on a low setting.
Serve right away. Enjoy!
Notes:
I suggest you add more cheese to this lasagna. Just do it and thank me later! You don’t need to worry about leftovers because I’m sure that there won’t be any!
