This Crockpot Chicken and Dressing Casserole is a complete meal that everyone is going to love! 6 hours of cooking time is so worth it after one bite! Dinner with your family will be awesome again. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
4 tbsp butter
1 rib celery, diced
1 c low sodium chicken broth
1 0.8 ounces dry chicken gravy mix
1-2 6 ounces box cornbread stuffing/dressing mix
2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 medium onion, diced
1 tsp poultry seasoning
1 tsp lemon pepper
1 10 ounces can cream of celery soup
1 tsp granulated garlic or garlic powder
1 10 ounces can cream of chicken soup
½ tsp salt
Directions:
Coat with cooking spray the bottom of a 6-quart oval slow cooker.
Add the chicken into the prepared slow cooker and arrange them in a single layer.
Sprinkle salt, lemon pepper, garlic, and poultry seasoning over the chicken.
Place a skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.
Add butter and allow it to melt.
Add celery and onion, then sauté for 3 to 5 minutes or until soft. Sprinkle with black pepper.
In a bowl, add gravy mix, chicken broth, and soups. Whisk until well blended.
Add ¾ of the mixture on top of the chicken.
In another mixing bowl, add the rest of the veggies and dressing mix. Stir until well combined. Spread the mixture over the chicken.
Cover with paper towels and lid, then cook for about 3 to 4 hours on a high setting or 6 to 7 hours on a low setting.
Remove the cover and allow it to rest for at least 15 minutes.
Serve and enjoy!
Note:
Feel free to shred the chicken after cooking.
