½-pound pork sausage, casings removed
1 onion, chopped
2 tubes Crescent Rolls
1 stalk celery, finely chopped
1 Egg, lightly whisked
¼ cup minced fresh parsley leaves
½ cup chicken stock
¼ cup minced fresh sage leaves
Directions:
Prepare the oven and preheat to 190 degrees C or 375 degrees F.
Place a non-stick skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
Add the sausage, then cook until crumbly and brown.
Transfer the browned sausage onto a clean plate. Discard accumulated grease.
Add butter into the empty skillet and allow it to melt.
Add the carrots, celery, and onion. Saute until soft.
Add the sausage back into the skillet as well as the fresh herbs. Stir until well combined. Sprinkle salt and pepper to taste.
Remove from the stove and allow it to cool for a few minutes.
Slice the crescent roll into three triangles. Roll each, then put it into a large bowl.
Add the egg, sausage mixture, and chicken stock into the bowl with the rolls. Mix everything until well combined.
Move everything into a casserole dish.
Place it inside the preheated oven and bake for about 1 hour or until done.
Remove from the oven and allow it to rest for a few minutes at room temperature.
Serve warm and enjoy!
