Ingredients:
8 oz medium pasta shells
1 tbsp olive oil
1 lb ground beef
1 small sweet onion (diced)
5 cloves garlic (minced)
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1 tsp dried parsley
½ tsp dried oregano
½ tsp smoked paprika
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
1 c beef stock
1 (15 ounces can) marinara sauce
¾ c heavy cream
¼ c sour cream
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
1 ½ c cheddar cheese (freshly grated)
Directions:
Step 1: Refer to the directions provided on the pasta on how to cook it.
Step 2: Drain and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process.
Step 3: Place a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.
Step 4: Add the ground beef and cool for about 5 minutes or until brown. Discard any excess grease.
Step 5: In the same skillet, add the sliced onion and sauté for about 2 minutes or until translucent.
Step 6: Add the garlic and sauté for 1 minute or until aromatic.
Step 7: Add the flour. Whisk and cook for 1 minute or until brown.
Step 8: Add the beef stock and stir until well mixed.
Step 9: Add the Italian seasoning, marinara sauce, paprika, oregano, and dried parsley. Stir until well combined.
Step 10: Allow the mixture to boil.
Step 11: Turn the heat down to low and simmer the mixture for about 6 to 8 minutes or until thick.
Step 12: Add the beef and cooked pasta. Stir until well combined.
Step 13: Add the heavy cream and stir until well mixed. Allow it to cook for about a minute.
Step 14: Add the sour cream and cheddar cheese. Cook for another 2 minutes or until melted and well blended.
Step 15: Remove from the heat.
Step 16: Sprinkle parsley on top.
Step 17: Serve and enjoy!
