I love this dish so much! The combination of chicken and bacon is just too perfect! The sauce alone is more than enough to satisfy all your cravings today! Oh, man, you are so in for a treat! Serve this as is or with mashed potatoes, and you have yourself a meal to remember! Have a great one, friends. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
½ c chicken broth
¼ tsp garlic powder
6 strips bacon cut into small pieces
1 tbsp butter
2 large chicken breasts cut in half lengthwise
½ tsp lemon juice
1 c heavy/whipping cream
Flour for dredging
Pepper to taste
Directions:
Slice the bacon into small pieces.
Slice the chicken into two. Season with pepper and garlic powder. Coat with flour and shake off any excess.
Place a skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.
Add the bacon slices and cook for a few minutes until they become crispy. Transfer the crispy bacon onto a clean plate.
Remove the bacon grease from the skillet and leave only 2 tbsp.
Add the chicken slices into the skillet and cook each side for about 5 minutes or until they turn golden brown. Transfer onto a clean plate.
In the empty skillet, add butter and allow it to melt.
Add lemon juice and chicken broth, then stir until well blended. Simmer for about 4 minutes or until it reduces its volume.
Add the cream and stir until well blended.
Put the bacon and chicken slices back into the skillet, then toss until well coated by the delicious sauce. Cook everything for 5 more minutes.
Remove from the oven and sprinkle your preferred herbs on top to garnish.
Serve and enjoy!
