INGREDIENTS
6 tablespoons butter
2 chicken breasts
8 ounces of dried cheese tortellini
1 tablespoon garlic
2 tablespoons flour
2 c. herb & garlic marinade
1.5 c. milk
1.5 c. heavy cream
½ c. Romano cheese, grated
½ c. Parmesan cheese, grated
½ c. mozzarella cheese, shredded
¼ c. Panko breadcrumbs
HOW TO MAKE COPYCAT OLIVE GARDEN OVEN BAKED TORTELLINI ALFREDO
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 350 degrees.
Step 2: To an even thickness, pound the chicken breasts.
Step 3: Over the chicken, pour the marinade. Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 25 minutes.
Step 4: Following the package directions cook the tortellini. Drain when done and set aside. For this recipe, you can use dried, fresh, or frozen tortellini.
Step 5: In a saucepan, saute the butter and garlic for about 1 minute over medium heat. Do this once the pasta has only about 4 to 5 minutes of cooking time left.
Step 6: To the saucepan, add the flour, milk, heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and Romano cheese. Continue to cook until the sauce starts to simmer, stirring often. When done, take the pan off the heat.
Step 7: Place the drained pasta with most of the Alfredo in a large bowl. Lightly toss o combine. Reserve half a cup of the Alfredo.
Step 8: Once the chicken breast is ready, slice and set aside.
Step 9: Set the oven to Broil-High. Using a nonstick spray, grease a casserole dish.
Step 10: Into the prepared casserole dish, pour the pasta and sauce. On top, lay the sliced chicken and add the bread crumbs, then the mozzarella.
Step 11: Broil for about 3 to 5 minutes on high or until the cheese begins to brown and bubble.
