Ingredients:
1 cup ketchup
1 cup of water
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon cider vinegar
¼ cup sweet pickle relish
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 pinch ground black pepper
1 pinch garlic salt
½ teaspoon liquid smoke flavouring
1-pound chopped ham
6 roll (blank)s hamburger buns
Directions:
Step 1: Place a large saucepan on the stove and add-in water, ketchup, cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and sweet pickle relish. Stir until well mixed.
Step 2: Add black pepper, liquid smoke, cinnamon, and garlic salt to taste. Stir until well combined.
Step 3: Simmer for 20 minutes on low heat.
Step 4: In a small mixing bowl, shred the ham. Transfer the shredded ham into the saucepan. Simmer for another 20 minutes or until you achieve your desired doneness.
Step 5: Remove from the heat and let it sit for at least 5 minutes to cool.
Step 6: Serve this over the hamburger buns. Enjoy!
Note:
You can place the leftover inside the freezer. Place it in a resealable bag to maintain its freshness.
