I had friends come over yesterday and they were very impressed by these incredible treats! Little did they know that they were very easy to make! Just follow all the steps for they will guide you to perfection. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
2 13-oz packages refrigerated cinnamon roll dough, I used Pillsbury
1 21-oz can apple pie filling
Icing, from cinnamon roll package, or ice cream
Directions:
Step 1: Ready the oven and preheat to 190 degrees C or 375 degrees F.
Step 2: Apply nonstick cooking spray in each of the 12-cup muffin tins.
Step 3: Sprinkle flour on a flat surface and unroll the cinnamon roll. Flatten it out using a rolling pin.
Step 4: Press dough on each prepared muffin tin.
Step 5: Fill each with about ¾ of the apple pie.
Step 6: Bake inside the preheated oven for 15 to 18 minutes or until golden and puffed up.
Step 7: Remove from the oven and let them sit on a wire rack to cool for about 10 minutes.
Step 8: Remove the apple pie cups from the muffin tins by running a small spatula on the sides.
Step 9: Serve and enjoy!
Notes:
You can drizzle icing on each apple pie cups. Heat the icing in the microwave for about 10 seconds before adding it to the pies.
Make sure to follow the directions written on the packaging of the cinnamon roll dough. If they are big rolls, you need to slice them first to fit them into the cups.
You can prepare the apple pie cups a night before. Store them in a resealable airtight bag and let it sit at room temperature.
You can freeze the apple pie cups for about 2 months.
