This recipe I am sharing with you is perfect for such an event! This Churro Nutella Christmas Tree is very pretty and delicious! Surprise everyone with this amazing treat. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
1 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
1 tbsp cinnamon sugar (or 1 tbsp sugar mixed with ¼ tsp ground cinnamon)
1 Egg yolk
2 sheets puff pastry, semi-frozen
2 tbsp 50g Nutella
Directions:
Prepare the oven and preheat to 200 degrees C or 400 degrees F.
Line parchment paper onto a baking sheet.
Shape each puff pastry into a Christmas tree.
Add Nutella over one Christmas tree sheet and spread it evenly. Place another one on top. Place it onto a baking sheet.
Use a knife to slit the sides of the Christmas tree about 1-inch space each. Twist each slit.
With the remaining pastry, make 2 stars. Spread Nutella over one star and place another one over.
Place the star on top of the Christmas tree and press it evenly.
Brush everything with beaten egg yolk.
Place it inside the preheated oven and bake for about 25 to 30 minutes or until it turns golden brown.
Remove from the oven and allow it to cool for at least 5 minutes at room temperature.
Brush it with melted butter, then sprinkle cinnamon sugar on top.
Serve warm and enjoy!
