Christmas is fast approaching! Do you have all the recipes that you want to serve on the best day of the year? I happen to know this recipe that your family will enjoy! These little wonders have been a part of my family since I was little. I love preparing this with my kids on Christmas morning! The flavours of this spinach bread will satisfy your cravings. It’s warm and intimate. Man, I can’t wait until it’s Christmas!
Ingredients:
12 oz Frozen chopped spinach thawed and squeezed dry
6 oz cream cheese softened
2 cloves garlic, minced
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon onion powder
¼ teaspoon chilli powder
¼ teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
½ cup grated parmesan cheese
1 cup grated cheddar OR mozzarella cheese
1 tube refrigerated thin crust pizza crust
2 tablespoons butter
½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
½ teaspoon garlic salt
Directions:
Step 1: Prepare the oven and preheat to 200 degrees C or 400 degrees F.
Step 2: Add the cream cheese and spinach in a medium mixing bowl. Beat until well mixed.
Step 3: Add in onion powder, garlic, chilli powder, Italian seasoning, and pepper. Beat until well mixed.
Step 4: Add ½ Cheddar or mozzarella cheese, and Parmesan cheese. Beat until well mixed, then set aside the remaining cheese for later use.
Step 5: Shape the mixture into a Christmas tree. At this stage, give it your artistic side!
Step 6: Place inside the preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes or until the top turns golden brown and the bottom is set.
Step 7: In a small microwavable bowl, add the butter and place it inside the microwave. Allow the butter to melt.
Step 8: Remove from the microwave and add the seasoning and garlic salt. Stir until well mixed.
Step 9: Brush each breadstick with the mixture.
Step 11: Serve warm and enjoy!
