Ingredients:
6 Tablespoons butter, unsalted
1 cup self-rising flour
1 ¾ cups sugar
1 ½ Tablespoons cocoa powder
½ cup whole milk
¼ cup cocoa powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 ½ cups boiling water
Directions:
Step 1: Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
Step 2: Place the butter into an 8×8-inch baking dish.
Step 3: Place the baking dish inside the preheating oven and allow the butter to melt.
Step 4: In a mixing bowl, add the cocoa, sugar, and flour. Stir until well mixed.
Step 5: Add the vanilla and milk. Stir until well blended.
Step 6: Remove the baking dish from the oven.
Step 7: Transfer the flour mixture on top of the melted butter.
Step 8: In a small mixing bowl, add the rest of the cocoa powder and sugar. Stir until well mixed.
Step 9: Sprinkle the mixture on top of the batter.
Step 10: Gently pour the boiling water over the batter.
Step 11: Place the baking dish inside the preheated oven and bake for about 30 minutes or until done.
Step 12: Remove the cobbler from the oven and allow it to cool at room temperature.
Step 13: Serve and enjoy!
