A big thanks to my dear friend, Anita, for this spectacular dish! Oh, man, I am so glad that I gave this one a try because I never would have tasted perfection! I have listed all the ingredients and directions so all you have to do is to follow them step by step and you are good to go! You are more than welcome to add more ingredients if you wish. I am sure that you can do a lot to take this very simple recipe to the next level! Have a wonderful day, friends, and I hope you are all well today. Don’t forget to share this recipe with your friends as well. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
One dollop of olive oil
chicken breasts (however many you want/need)
red pepper flakes (leave these out if you don’t like any heat)
minced garlic (a smattering…a little more than a smattering if you like garlic)
Parmesan cheese
marinara sauce (probably won’t need more than one jar unless you are a marinara fiend)
croutons (we used Italian-seasoned)
mozzarella cheese (you will need twice as much mozzarella as Parmesan)
Directions:
Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
Drizzle olive oil to the bottom of a casserole dish.
Scatter red pepper flakes and garlic over the oil.
Arrange the chicken pieces over to the casserole dish.
Pour in the marinara sauce and spread it evenly.
Sprinkle a generous amount of Parmesan cheese and mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
Scatter the crushed croutons over the cheese layer.
Add more cheese over the croutons if you prefer.
Place it inside the preheated oven and bake for about 35 minutes or until done.
Remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes at room temperature.
Serve and enjoy!
Note:
This is best served with salad on the side. Enjoy!
