My only advice to you for this recipe is to be very generous with the cheese! Cheese is what makes this dish extra special. This Chicken Parmesan Casserole is perfect. Yes, it’s perfect! This was my third time cooking it this week. It is so good that I can’t get enough of it as well as my kids and partner! You have got to give this a try and allow it to melt your hearts out! Feel free to tweak it a little to your liking. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
2 cups rotini pasta
1 (12 oz) can chicken chunks, drained
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
2 cups marinara sauce
½ cup seasoned bread crumbs
Directions:
Step 1: Ready the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
Step 2: Place a large pot on the stove and pour salted water. Turn the heat to high and allow it to boil.
Step 3: Add the rotini and cook for 8 minutes or until al dente’.
Step 4: Drain and rinse in running cold water to stop the cooking process.
Step 5: Add the chicken, rotini, and mozzarella cheese in a large casserole dish. Stir until well mixed.
Step 6: Pour the marinara sauce and bread crumbs. Spread the two evenly on top. Cover with foil.
Step 7: Bake inside the preheated oven for 35 minutes or until the cheese has melted completely.
Step 8: Remove from the oven and let it sit on a wire rack to cool at room temperature.
Step 9: Serve and enjoy!
Notes:
I slice the chicken into small pieces because they are easier to cook and less hassle when you eat them rather than big slices.
If you are health conscious, try using whole wheat paste or whole grain.
You can also discard the chicken and put vegetables instead.
