Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef (at least 80% lean)
½ c chopped onion
2 tbsp Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
1 c lager beer
½ c Progresso™ beef flavoured broth (from 32-oz carton)
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp Dijon mustard
2 c shredded Cheddar cheese (8 oz)
12 slices cooked bacon
4 burger buns, toasted
Directions:
Place a 12-inch nonstick skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.
Add the beef and onion powder. Stir and cook for about 8 minutes or until brown.
Add the flour and stir until well mixed.
Add the beef broth, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir until well mixed. Allow the mixture to boil.
Turn the heat down to medium, then simmer everything for about 10 minutes. Make sure to stir from time to time until the texture of the sauce becomes thick.
Remove from the heat, then add 1 cup of cheese and crumbled bacon. Stir until well mixed.
Add the rest of the cheese over. Make sure not to stir.
Cover the skillet and allow the cheese to melt for about 5 minutes.
Fill each toasted bun with the meat mixture, then put 2 bacon slices over each. Top it with another bun.
Serve and enjoy!
Notes:
I don’t add salt because Worcestershire sauce is already salty.
Make sure to toast the buns for a more delicious taste!
