When I was a kid, I always wanted my own cake shop. I even had this journal with all the pictures of the cake I dream to make. When I get older my passion changed but my love for cakes stayed. One of the few cakes I managed to make when I was younger is this Caramel Apple Pecan Dump Cake. It’s almost a no-brainer. You don’t have to be a pro to pull this off. It is super simple, not fussy, and comes together in a breeze! Apple pie filling, cake mix, butter, caramel sauce, cinnamon, and chopped pecans are literally the only ingredients you need to make this delicious dessert. This recipe is sure a keeper and to die for!
Ingredients:
2 can(s) apple pie filling (21 oz each)
1 box spice cake mix or butter cake mix (16 oz)
1 cup butter, melted
½ cup caramel sauce, like you, would put on ice cream
½ teaspoon cinnamon
1 chopped pecans
Directions:
Step 1: Add the apple pie filling, caramel sauce, and cinnamon in a greased 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Mix and evenly spread.
Step 2: Add the cake mix directly over the pie filling, spreading evenly.
Step 3: Top with melted butter followed by pecans.
Step 4: Place inside the oven and bake for about 50 to 55 minutes at 350 degrees or until golden brown and the apple filling is bubbly.
Step 5: Serve and enjoy!
