Ingredients:
1 yellow cake mix
2 cans apple pie filling, (21 ounces cans)
½ c caramel sauce or topping
2 sticks butter, melted or sliced
Directions:
Step 1: Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
Step 2: Prepare a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Step 3: Spread the cans of apple pie filling onto the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
Step 4: Spread the caramel over the prepared pie filling.
Step 5: Sprinkle the cake mix over the caramel.
Step 6: Add dollops of butter over the cake mix. (Feel free to melt the butter first, then drizzle it over.)
Step 7: Place it inside the preheated oven and bake for 1 hour or until done.
Step 8: Spoon ice cream over each serving. Enjoy!
Slow Cooker Method:
Step 1: Apply cooking spray in a 6-quart slow cooker.
Step 2: Repeat the directions for the oven method.
Step 3: Cover the slow cooker and cook for 4 hours on low heat or 2 hours on high heat.
