This is by far the best pudding I have ever tasted! I will surely make this again in the coming weeks and months! Give it a try, friends. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
6 cups stale white or wheat bread cut or torn into small pieces ( i use a mix of both)
3 cups any kind of apple peeled and diced small
5 whole Eggs, beaten
3 cups half and half
1 cup Splenda brown sugar blend
¼ teaspoon salt
2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 teaspoon apple pie spice
1 stick butter, cold
1 can(s) sweetened condensed milk
1 bag Kraft caramels, unwrapped
Directions:
Step 1: Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
Step 2: Apply cooking spray in a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Step 3: In a large mixing bowl, add the apple pieces and bread cubes. Toss until well mixed.
Step 4: Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
Step 5: In another or the same mixing bowl, add the rest of the ingredients except the butter. Whisk until well mixed.
Step 6: Pour the mixture over the apple-bread mixture and whisk until well blended.
Step 7: Let the mixture sit for 15 minutes or overnight.
Step 8: In a microwavable safe dish, add the condensed milk and ½ of the caramels. Place it inside the microwave and heat for 1 minute. Stir and heat for every 30 seconds until 3 minutes.
Step 9: Spread the butter over the bread and drizzle ½ of the caramel mixture on top.
Step 10: Place it inside the preheated oven and bake for 40 to 50 minutes or until the middle is done.
Step 11: Remove from the oven and let it sit for at least 5 minutes at room temperature.
Step 12: Drizzle the caramel over.
Step 13: Serve and enjoy!
Note:
This is best served with vanilla ice cream.
