How to make Big Boys Strawberry Pie
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 350 degrees. Using butter, grease a pie pan.
Step 2: In a bowl, place the butter, vanilla, flour, and powdered sugar. Mix well until combined, then spread this into the bottom of the prepared pie pan. Prick the crust using a fork.
Step 3: Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 10 to 15 minutes or until the crust is lightly brown. When done, remove from the oven and allow the pie crust to cool.
Step 4: In the meantime, place the salt, granulated sugar, cornstarch, and food coloring in a small saucepan. While stirring constantly, cook the filling for about 5 minutes until the mixture has thickened.
Step 5: Remove from the heat when done and set aside to cool.
Step 6: Into the cooled crust, distribute the berries. Pour the slightly cooled glaze on top.
Step 7: Place the pie in the fridge for about 1 hour until the glaze is set.
Step 8: When ready to serve, take the pie out of the fridge. Slice and serve with whipped cream or whipped dessert. Enjoy!
