This Taco Pie is one of the best pies I have ever had! In just 45 minutes, prepare to fall in love with this heavenly treat. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
1 c grated cheddar cheese
1 c thawed frozen corn or canned corn drained
2 1 oz. packages of Taco Seasoning
2 lb. of ground beef, ground turkey or chicken can be used as well
1 c sour cream
1 8 oz. of can refrigerated crescent rolls
Directions:
Prepare the oven and preheat to 190 degrees C or 375 degrees F.
Unroll the crescent rolls to the bottom of a pie plate. Make sure to seal the sides. This will serve as the crust.
Place a skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
Add the ground beef, then cook for a few minutes until crumbly and brown. Discard any accumulated grease.
Add the taco seasoning over the browned beef, then stir until well blended.
Transfer the meat mixture to the prepared pie plate over the crust and spread it evenly.
Add sour cream, corn, and cheese on top of the meat mixture.
Pull the sides of the crust towards the filling.
Place it inside the preheated oven and bake the pie for about 20 minutes or until done.
Remove the pie from the oven and let it sit at room temperature to cool for a few minutes.
Slice the pie into even pieces.
Serve warm with crisp green salad and salsa. Enjoy!
Notes:
You can add less meat if you prefer. Make sure to add less taco seasoning as well.
You can use ground beef, ground turkey, or ground chicken for this recipe.
Place any leftovers in an airtight container, then place them inside the fridge.
